This is to inform all the students of The University of Lagos that the Committee of Provost and Deans, UNILAG, after its meeting held on Thursday, 22nd November, 2012 have decided to declare next week, Monday, 26th November to Friday, 30th November, 2012, lecture-free week. (why do students love lecture free weeks? To flex? Or take a lil break out of their tedious academic work? Or in this case, because of the National Sport Festival? Well.)
The Reason for the Unilag lecture-free week, is due to the commencement of the National Sports Festival which being hosted by Lagos State. Some of the University facilities mainly Halls of Residence, Multi-purpose Hall Complex and Sports Centre would be used during this festival.
It is hoped that the lecture-free period will reduce the human and vehicular traffic on campus on the days of the activities.
The Vice-Chancellor Of Unilag, Professor Rahamon A. Bello FAEng appreciates the sacrifice of all the Staffs of the University and especially all the students of University Of Lagos who have had to be off-campus since the resumption of the academic session.
All the students are expected to make good use of their free week!!
