The current news on Aluu community and the uniport students who were lynched by the indigene of Aluu Clan, the Aluu chiefs are demanding the immediate release of their monarch (Alhaji Hassan Walewa, Chief of Aluu Community) who has been in the police custody for days after he ordered the killing of the four uniport students.
Days after the 4 students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) were killed by mob of Aluu Community in Ikwere local government area of Rivers State, the community chiefs of aluu clan after a long silence has made known their thought.
According to the report, The community denied that its members were not involved in the incident and demands the immediate release of its detained traditional chief, Chief Alhaji Hassan Welewa.
The people of Aluu Community also warned the general public that they would no longer fold their hands against any further destruction of their community properties and the infliction of pains on them by the Uniport students and the security agencies.

They Aluu Community chiefs has informed the security agencies, that some ethnic groups whose sons were victims of the mob action are planning to attack Aluu community. (well, Aluu community are lucky this is not in the 1910's to 1960's) The Spokesman of Aluu Clan, Garshon Benson, who disclosed this during a media interview, attended by the chairman, Aluu Council of Chiefs, Richard Kalu, called for the release of the detained traditional ruler. He also called on security agencies to stop the harassment and arrests of innocent Aluu natives and urged the securities to carry out a thorough investigation to fish out the animals behind the gruesome killing of the four uniport students.
