Latest Imo State University News on Strike
The Lecturers of the Imo State University (IMSU) owerri, ongoing strike will be called off. The strike is due to the non payment of Lecturers Salaries by the State government.
The news is that the State Governor, Gov. Rochas Okorocha, visited Imo State University and made promises to pay the Lecturers and staffs their long overdue salaries, while asking the students of the University to return to school and continue with their academic activities.
Though, the answer of the lecturers is not known yet, we don't know if they will call off the strike or continue with the ongoing industrial action.
We are hoping that the Governor should pay the Lecturers their salaries, so students should continue with the examination of the 2011/2012 academic session.
