Is Imo State University on Strike?
The Latest Information reaching us from the Imo State University (IMSU), reveals that Lecturers of the Institution have embarked on a one week strike following the non payment of staffs salaries. (thanks to the present Government R. Okorocha)
The strike action is coming up as students of the Institution are all preparing for their second semester Examination to kick-off, Imo State University 2nd semester was scheduled to hold on the 8th of October 2012, but has been shifted to start on the 22nd of October. According to the Vice Chancellor of IMSU. He said the postponement of the exam is to allow students who are yet to pay their Tuition fee to do so within the time frame.
Now most IMSU students has traveled to their various homes hoping to returned to school before 22nd to begin their Examination, if this Imsu strike is not called off Immediately, it will give room for the exam date to be postponed again and again.
The students of Imo State University appeals to the State Government to pay the Staffs their Salaries.
