This is the latest report reaching us from Abia State University, ABSU, the students of the said institution are complaining that they are been exploited by the Managements of the University, they are therefore seeking the help of National Universities Commission, NUC, for them to interven and do their job properly.
The report said, National Universities Commission (NUC) should scrutinize the activities of the Administration in Abia State University. The tuition and all other compulsory fees being paid by Freshers and the existing students are exorbitant.Below is the break-down of the Tuition fees by Abia State University:
[+] ABSU Acceptance Fee* N50,000.00
[+] ABSU Accreditation* N25,000.00
[+] ABSU Development Fee* N30,000.00
[+] ABSU Tuition for a session* N130,000.00
[+] Other Fees which amount upto or more than N20,000.00
from the fees listed above, accommodation fee is not inclusive.
Please the NUC and other authorities should look into this and help reduce the fee. Education in Nigeria is no longer a Right!! Rather Education in Nigeria is for the Rich!!!
